DEATH NOTE The Successors

So here is a fan art of the six characters of Wammy House. I believe there are strong parallels between them, so I wanted to show that with mirrors.

Consider:

L/Near
- Both were number 1.
- It was stated that Near is the most Wammy Kid like L to have existed.
- Neither were killed by Kira. True, L was killed according to Light's plan, but it was done by Rem on behalf of Misa. And Near was the one to capture him.

B/Mello
- Both were completely obsessed with surpassing their respective 1's. In B's case, it was just worse, since number 1 was L himself, not a fellow copy.
- They both turned to crime when it looked like they wouldn't be able to.
- Furthermore, Mello said in the novel that his methods were inspired by B, and even called him "senpai" in Japanese, expressing his deep respect.
- They both were fated to live as they survived through serious burns.
- However, they were both killed prematurely by Kira.
- Interesting enough, they line up numerically as well. B identifies with the number "13" because he thinks it looks like the letter B. M is the 13th letter of the alphabet.


A/Matt
- Both had very little information revealed about them
- However, they were both fated to die in accordance to their usual lifespans.
-A committed suicide [and some fans speculate it had something to do with B.]
-And Matt went on a suicide mission. [For the sake of Mello's plan.]

It's interesting how history repeats itself, isn't it?
